Welcome Coaches! Thank you for volunteering your time, leadership, and heart to our athletes. You are the foundation of our program, and we are grateful for your commitment to developing confident, skilled, and respectful players both on and off the field.

✅ Required Certifications & Background Checks

All coaches must complete the following prior to participating:

• Little League Level 1 Background Check

• Florida Level 2 Background Check

📋 Season Expectations

• Communicate consistently with your Dugout Coordinator and parents.

• Promote sportsmanship at all times.

• Ensure players are properly equipped and safe.

• Arrive early for games and practices with a plan.

• Follow division rules and pitch/play regulations.

• Support league fundraising and events.

Remember: We are a Little League program. All policies and rules align with Little League International standards.

📣 Communication Tools

• Team communication should be done through GroupMe.

• Share schedules, rain delays, and league announcements promptly.

• Direct parents to the league website or Facebook page for official updates. The Website team pages automatically has schedules and practices when completed.

💙 Code of Conduct

All coaches must model:

• Respect toward umpires, players, and families

• Positive sideline behavior

• Zero tolerance for harassment or bullying

• Supportive and instructional coaching

We are building athletes — but more importantly, we are building character.

This course, which serves as a replacement for the programs previously available through third-party organizations like USA Baseball, is custom to the Little League program and provides an easier learning experience for our volunteers. Required to be completed by all volunteers each year, this course is available as part of the training and education courses at LittleLeague.org/Training, making signing up for the course even easier for our volunteers.
